Provide leadership and direction to the site maintenance organization, which includes Plant Controls and Energy Systems (PCES) (IandC and Electrical) Mechanical, Ancillary and Maintenance Support, and Facilities. Included in these responsibilities is directing, organizing, controlling and coordinating the conduct of site maintenance activities, maintenance planning and scheduling, maintenance support activities, and contractor management. Establish and manage contracts and oversee activities for facility contracts including utility services, custodial services, grounds keeping, warehousing, and food services contracts. Oversee and manage the companys vehicle / equipment program and defined office operations functions. Responsible for reinforcing safe work practices, oversight/ownership of the maintenance training program and control of the maintenance budget. Interfaces with Operations Manager and Engineering Manager to ensure design configuration is maintained and operational and equipment reliability issues are resolved. The education, experience and responsibilities of this position are requirements of Chapter II of the SAR. Any changes must be evaluated by Licensing and Human Resources prior to changing. Education and Experience Requirements Bachelors Degree in an engineering discipline or other related science discipline. 8 years of related experience; of which at least 3 years include previous leadership experience and 4 years of experience in a nuclear/nuclear commercial power industry. The ideal candidate will have 8 to 10 years of experience in supervising and managing organizations responsible for the maintenance or operation or a nuclear or a chemical facility. Other essential skills include: The ability to develop specifications, negotiate contracts, and direct external services providers, such as general contractors for janitorial services, lawn and landscaping maintenance and general construction. Must be able to manage resource planning, space allocation and layout, and budget for physical plant of URENCO USAs campus. Ability to work with diverse groups, manage others, and coordinate/direct work of contractors Must have excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate communications with all levels of management, URENCO USA staff, regulators, vendors and consultants. Must be able to work independently and in group settings. Ability to understand and gain timely resolution of equipment anomalies, degraded performance, or failure. Knowledge of environmental and safety regulations. Knowledge of Building and maintenance trades. Ability to manage complex schedules, coordinate multiple activities, and provide long term planning. Managing one's own time and the time of others Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources Competency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, and PowerPoint Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Job Details The work location for this position is Urenco USA, Eunice, NM. Work Schedule: Professional work schedule/ with minimal night/ weekend support. Some nights and weekend work may be required. Employees are also subject to call-outs as needed. Travel Required: 20% of the time or less as required.
