Our expert recruiters support you at every step in the process and as a Best of Staffing company, Sterling provides exciting work with exceptional employers across the U.S. Hire Type: Direct Hire Job Summary: Enhances manufacturing processes through in-depth analysis of product manufacturing techniques and workflow, actively engaging on the production floor in heavy manufacturing environments. Job Duties: Support continuous improvement initiatives by: Developing layouts using AutoCAD and DWG. Conducting time and motion studies, creating Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, and Work Instructions. Charting process flows, Control Plans, and PFMEA. Researching optimal materials and manufacturing methods. Managing larger projects, including preparing and maintaining Gantt charts. Coordinating with Lean teams and participating in Lean events, ensuring the effectiveness of approved improvements. Providing leadership, guiding activities, and reporting progress periodically. Seeking assistance when faced with obstacles. Supporting major equipment and process installations and setups, interfacing with equipment manufacturers, operations, maintenance, safety, and quality. Training affected employees and establishing maintenance schedules, calibration needs, safety procedures, etc. Collaborating with Operations Management to establish improvement goals in Safety, Quality, and productivity. Creating and producing necessary documentation for equipment CAPEX, including ROI analysis. Qualifications: Manufacturing methods and procedures Manufacturing quality, product development CAD Experience Read and understand engineer drawings and blueprints Excellent time management skills, communication skills, mathematical abilities and analytical abilities BS Degree in Manufacturing Engineering preferred Manufacturing/industry experience. Bilingual skills in Spanish preferred.
