The Area Vice President Sales for a Medical Device Augmented Reality company is a high-level executive role responsible for leading the sales efforts within a designated geographical area that entails Minnesota to down to Iowa over to Illinois all the way to Maine. This position combines in-depth knowledge of the medical device industry and expertise in spine applications, implants, capital, and preferably subscription-based services to drive revenue growth, foster customer relationships, and guide the sales team toward success. This role plays a pivotal part in advancing the company’s position in the medical device augmented reality market, driving growth, and ensuring customer satisfaction within the assigned area. Key Responsibilities: Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for the assigned area, aligning with the company’s overall goals and objectives. This includes setting sales targets and quotas. Market Research: Stay informed about the latest trends, competitive landscape, and market opportunities within the medical device and augmented reality sectors. Team Leadership : Manage and motivate a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and training to ensure their success in meeting sales goals. Customer Engagement: Cultivate and maintain relationships with key clients, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and identify opportunities for product adoption. Product Knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of the company’s medical device augmented reality solutions, ensuring the ability to effectively communicate their value proposition to clients. Revenue Growth: Drive revenue growth within the area by identifying new business opportunities, negotiating contracts, and closing deals with strategic customers. Forecasting and Reporting: Regularly analyze sales data and provide accurate forecasts, reports, and insights to the executive leadership team. Compliance and Regulations: Ensure that all sales activities adhere to industry regulations, compliance standards, and company policies. Budget Management: Develop and manage the sales department’s budget, optimizing resource allocation to maximize ROI. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support, to align efforts and achieve common objectives. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, or a related field. Proven experience in medical device sales, spine focused, implant based and/or capital based, or a related industry. Strong leadership, team management skills, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills. Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance.
