Chemical Process Technician - BTA IBCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Chemical Process Technician - BTA I for an opportunity in Battle Creek, MI 49037 Position Title: Chemical Process Technician - BTA I Location: Battle Creek, MI 49037 Anticipated Start Date: Tentative 2/15/2024 Please note this is the target date and is subject to change. Expected Duration: 12 Months Contract Job Type: Rotational Shift Pay Range: $23.00/hr. on W2 (must be able to work on W2 without sponsorship) Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.). Position Description The candidate's assignment will include but is not limited to safe operation of dry powder batch processes and material handling equipment. This position will be hands on manufacturing, interfacing with product, equipment, and team members in activities such as operation of chemical processes, packaging product and other operational activities as assigned. Other responsibilities include identification of and reporting of safety violations or concerns. This role requires housekeeping skills, good attendance, and teamwork. This assignment has the opportunity for fulltime placement. Must be available to work a DuPont schedule alternating from day shift to night shift. Essential Job Functions include: emonstrating good safety standards, troubleshooting equipment, operating material handling equipment, chemical processes. Qualifications: * 2 years of solid work experience, food or pharmaceutical processing is helpful, basic computer skills, must work well in a team environment and independently, demonstrate good work habits (attendance, safety, housekeeping, etc.), good verbal and written communication skills. Physical Requirements: * Must be able to work 24/7 rotating shifts, able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. * * occasionally, able to wear a Pressurized Air Purifying Respirator and able to safely ascend and descend multiple flights of stairs during the shift. * These are contingent to direct hire roles if the candidate performs wells. * Updated site incentive list is attached. * Batch processing experience is preferred, however, it is not a qualifying indicator ahead of a solid work history with some form of manufacturing or related environment. * Dry chemical processing in batch (no liquids). * Candidate will be walking up/down 4 flights of stairs. * Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. * Must have attention to detail - will be monitoring equipment. * Candidate must have a solid work history; no job hopping.
