Primary Role: The Creative Directors role is to develop creative content through video, graphics, and live production that align with the vision and direction of Mount Vernon Church. Experience Required: Ability to lead, problem solve, and tell a story effectively through video and graphics media. Must have strong leadership instincts and a proven track record of leading high-quality individuals. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting required deadlines. Ability to develop production volunteers. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Experience in video and graphics applications including but not limited to Davinci Resolve, Adobe Creative Suite, and Canva among other creative suites. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Management of all video content such as baptism stories, testimonies, outreach events, and any other church events that require editing for weekly services. Edit sermon clips and any other needed social media graphics Lead the overall media planning approach by linking media strategy with sermon series Partner with campus ministries to establish creative vision for all upcoming events. Maintain Cloud media organization via hightail.com and/or dropbox.com Schedule camera operators, lighting operators, and pro presenter operators for services and events through planningcenteronline.com Partner with Worship Pastor on editing needs, graphics, and creative direction for Sunday worship or any upcoming events. Attend creative/brainstorming session with Worship Pastor quarterly. Train production volunteers in camera operation, lighting, and graphics and expected role during services. This includes a quarterly team meeting to discuss advanced operations and procedures. Maintain Global Production budget Other responsibilities as determined by the Worship Pastor Personal Responsibilities: Maintain the God-ordained priorities in your life: putting Jesus Christ first, your spouse second, children third, and the ministry fourth. Willing to commit to the core values of Mt Vernon Church and meet membership expectations. Passionately strive to live the abundant life found in Christ. Give at least 10% of your income into the vision of Mt Vernon Church. Avoid the appearance of evil: let no hint of immorality exist and conduct life with the utmost integrity in all situations.
