RemX is seeking a Electrical Engineer to work with our client who is the GOLD STANDARD for filling and packing machinery solutions! This position is located in Chicago, IL and is an on-site role. $85k-$100k BOE with excellent benefits! Lots of room for growth, a great per diem package and work-life balance!! Duties: * Review Customer specifications to define the project requirements. * Design and generate electrical drawings and programs. * Enter project BOM into PLM to create demand for purchasing. * Communicate electrical requirements to the mechanical department. * Use the machine specification document and checklist as the follow-up document. * Test every aspect of the machine program for all logical functions. * Support the Project Manager and Customer during the Factory Acceptance Testing. * Have electrical drawings updated for the FAT. * Create a clean, updated, and organized electrical documentation folder (paper folder, electronic folder). * Follow up with the Operations Department regarding the site start-up and acceptance test. * Work together with our headquarters in France. Use Serac France's experience, documents, and programs whenever useful. Fluency in French a plus but not necessaryRequirements: * Project design experience in Controls Engineering for Industrial machinery. * Working experience with PLC and HMI programming with Rockwell Studio 5000, B&R Automation Studio is a plus. * Experience in the design of electrical schematics, panel layouts and application of control system components. * Working knowledge of National (NEC, NFPA, ANSI) design standards and safety regulations. * Experienced with construction of Electrical Schematics and Panel Layouts with CAD. EPLAN P8 a plus. * Basic understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic schematics. * Knowledge of QAD and SmarTeam is an advantage but not necessary. * Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. * 2-5 years of experience in machine control design (electrical & technical background required). * Clean driving record with no infractions in past 3 years
