Located along the banks of French Creek in Northwestern Pennsylvania and 45 minutes from Pittsburgh, Meadville is home to more than 13,000 full time residents and 2,000 Allegheny College students. Conneaut Lake, Pymatuning State Park and the Erie National Wildlife Refuge are wonderful places to appreciate the area's natural beauty.ResponsibilitiesPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES and ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS The Right Role for You Are you motivated by the chance to help provide quality products consumers count on every day? We are currently hiring entry-level production technicians in our Pet Food Plant. Whether you are interested in the making of the product, working on one of our packing teams, warehousing, or quality assurance, we have a spot for you.The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the duties and functions of the position.----Manufacturing experience (preference for pet food manufacturing or consumer packaged goods)A proven track record of good attendance and consistent performance delivering consistent safety and qualityCapability to work well in a team environment and be willing to help solve problems and implement solutions with diverse employeesMust be willing to be on shift (12-hour 2-2-3 shift rotation, fixed days or nights) 6P/6A and 6A/6PSafely operate powered industrial equipment and follow all company Safety Rules & GMP's----Able to operate, perform basic physical activities: climbing, standing, bending, twisting, and moving around stairs, ladders, platforms, and various equipmentCapability to work well in a team environment and be willing to help solve problems and implement solutionsMust be able to effectively read, comprehend, interpret, record, and apply information from documentsMechanical interest and operational skillsAble to learn new systems, record operational data and communicate resultsTrack quality and waste metricsEmphasis on sanitation/cleaningAbility to work occasional flexible hours and overtime based on company/volume needsAbility to stand on a concrete floor 12 hours per dayReaching, bending, and twisting frequentlyWillingness to flow to the work to meet the needs of the businessQualificationsQUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge and skills necessary to meet organizational objectives) Education/Training: High School Diploma or GEDPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (Necessary to perform essential functions of job with or without an accommodation) --Climb ladders and binsManeuver in tight spacesMove items of 55-80 lbs. in weight from one place to anotherStack repetitiously 60 lbs. or lessAble to differentiate between colorsAble to work in extreme temperature conditions (very hot or very cold)Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time--
