We are currently seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Georgia Pre-K Lead Teacher who is passionate about education and has the energy and attentiveness to create a stimulating and engaging classroom environment. As a Lead Teacher, you will have the opportunity to develop a strong teaching team, implement the curriculum, and manage day-to-day classroom activities. With your excellent knowledge of children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development, you will create lesson plans that support and promote growth and development. Strong communication skills with children and adults are essential in this role, as they will enable you to meet the needs of your students, guide your assistants, and address any parental concerns. Develop and implement lesson plans that incorporate engaging activities that are developmentally appropriate for 4-year-olds and meet each child's needs. Collect documentation, work samples, and observations for WSO. Conduct Parent Teacher Conferences. Daily operations of the classroom and meeting all state guidelines and requirements. Supervise teacher assistants and classroom volunteers to ensure they are following planned activities, hygiene, and safety standards. Participates in required training programs, conferences, courses, or other aspects of professional growth. Greet children and parents/guardians professionally and enthusiastically each day. Maintains a happy, sanitary, safe, secure, and relaxed atmosphere in the classroom by following daily procedures and routines. Requirements A Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or higher is required. The ideal candidate should be dedicated to ongoing professional development and have at least 1-year of experience working in a childcare setting. They must also possess strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (both written and oral). Additionally, they should have a good understanding of Bright From the Start regulations, the Quality Rated system, Environmental Rating Scales, and the Georgia State Funded Pre-K system. The candidate must pass a criminal background check and be CPR/First Aid certified. They should be able to maintain physical activity with young children, including lifting at least 35 lbs. They should be comfortable sitting at the computer for 3 hours or more at a time. A passion for working with children and a strong understanding of child development is a must.
