Invest your talents in us, and we'll return the compliment.Job Description:We are seeking a motivated second- or third-year law student to join our corporate in-house legal team as a Part-Time Compliance and Governance Legal Intern. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in compliance-related legal matters while contributing to the success of our organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to leverage new technologies to solve complex problems.Location: Minneapolis, MNHybrid position: Requires 1-2 days in office, downtown MinneapolisPosition Type: Part-Time (12-20 hours per week, M-F during corporate business hours)Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 an hourApplicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.Key Responsibilities: * Assist in conducting legal research and analysis related to regulations and industry standards. * Support the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and training programs. * Assist in drafting and reviewing legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and internal policies. * Stay current on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends impacting the organization's global compliance efforts. * Provide administrative support to the legal team as needed. * Assist in special projects and initiatives as assigned.Qualifications: * Currently enrolled in a second- or third-year law program at an accredited law school. * Strong academic record with coursework in compliance, business law, or related fields preferred. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Proficiency in legal research methods and tools. * Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities effectively. * Comfortable adapting to new technologies and software platforms to streamline processes and solve problems. * Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. * Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards.Benefits: * Hands-on experience in a corporate compliance setting. * Mentorship and guidance from experienced legal professionals. * Flexible work schedule to accommodate academic commitments. * Opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects and initiatives.As a global organization, Datasite knows that diverse perspectives are essential to our success.
